Information shared in an enquiry

The enquiry form asks for a name, email address, optional phone number, enquiry type and a brief message. Selecting “Prepare enquiry” creates a draft in the visitor’s own email application, where the message can be reviewed before it is sent to Desert Psychology.

The website does not send the contents of these fields to Google Analytics. Visitors are encouraged not to include highly sensitive clinical information in an initial website enquiry.

Website analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to record general information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source, scrolling, outbound-link clicks, video engagement and file downloads. For visitors outside regions where prior consent is required, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies to distinguish visits and sessions.

Site-search tracking and automatic form-interaction tracking are disabled. When a visitor selects “Prepare enquiry”, Analytics may record only a generic lead event. It does not receive the person’s name, email address, phone number, enquiry type or message.

Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. Google states that Analytics may process an IP address during collection but does not log or store that address. More information is available in Google’s explanation of Analytics data safeguards and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Cookies and browser controls

Limited analytics begins automatically when the website is visited. Analytics cookies remain disabled for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Other visitors can restrict or delete cookies through their browser settings. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
